Dear CAHI Participants,
As we approach the scheduled conclusion of the Applied Health Informatics Certificate Program on September 30, I want to recognize the commitment and effort you have demonstrated throughout this intensive six-month program.
We recognize that participants are at different stages of completing their coursework and capstone projects. To provide sufficient opportunity for those who need additional time, the program is establishing a Final Completion Period through November 30, 2026.
Shortly after September 30, participants with outstanding requirements will receive an individualized completion notice identifying the specific coursework, assessments, and/or capstone deliverables that remain. Participants who have already completed all requirements will not need to take additional action.
The original curriculum also included an elective course requirement. However, the program schedule did not provide sufficient time to deliver the planned electives at the depth and quality expected. Rather than compress an elective simply to satisfy the requirement, the elective requirement will be waived for the 2026 cohort.
All designated core course and capstone requirements remain unchanged. The additional completion period provides more time to meet these requirements; it does not reduce academic expectations.
November 30, 2026, will be the final completion deadline for the 2026 cohort. Participants who satisfactorily complete all remaining requirements by that date will be eligible for program completion and certification.
You have invested significant effort in this program. I encourage everyone with outstanding work to use this final period purposefully and bring that investment to a successful conclusion.
Warm regards,
Chamberlain Nwanne, PhD.
