RCR Case Study Handout

Please follow the guidelines below for attending the in-person Case Study Session on 10/6. 

The purpose of the case study session is to provide learners with the opportunity to have an interactive, engaging, and enriching discussion with the facilitator(s) and fellow learners. For Fall 2026 RCR Program, the Case Study topics are a) Research Collaboration and b) Authorship. 

Please take note of the below key points:

• Please direct any questions/concerns about the session to rcr@mskcc.org.
• Please arrive on time and note that you are required to attend the full session. Attendance will be taken by the facilitators. If you do not attend the session on 10/6, you will be marked as absent.
• Read the case studies handout PDF (above) in advance of the session and bring a printout of the attached session handout. You may be called on at random to read a case study or to answer a question about the case studies.
• Drawing upon your own experiences to answer a question is welcomed, but please refrain from naming any other individuals or sharing any identifiable information to avoid compromising others’ privacy or reputation.
• Discussion can sometimes become lively, but please remember to be respectful of others’ opinions and to not to make any disrespectful comments.
