Hello, everyone. I am Olubola Titilope Adegbosin, a medical/radiation oncology resident at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Nigeria.
I have a mixed clinical and IT background, as I have experience with health data analysis for research. I am seriously considering the DHS track for two reasons. In my experience conducting research with health data, poor data quality has always been the greatest challenge to tackle. Considering the loads of data generated by oncology workflow in a populous country like mine, it is very disturbing when the data can hardly be translated into insights. Secondly, my institution is in the process of transitioning into digital tools and electronic information management. I know that the tools will not guarantee usable data by themselves if people are not trained to use the tools properly for data management. I feel this health informatics course will equip me to solve the data management and quality problem in my place of practice and make me a more proficient researcher and health data analyst ultimately.
I am looking forward to a fulfilling learning experience and future collaborations. Let's connect on LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/alamu-olubola . Thank you!
