Welcome to Electronic Health Records (EHRs) & Health IT Systems!
I hope you had a productive Academic Recovery & Reflection Period and are ready for the next phase of your CAHI journey. Over the past three courses, you have explored the foundations of health informatics, clinical workflows or interoperability, and how health data supports healthcare improvement. Now, we move into the systems where much of that data is created and managed.
This course is more hands-on than previous courses and will require approximately 2 – 4 hours per week, including OpenMRS practice activities. Consistent participation and timely completion of assignments will be important to your success. Please review the syllabus carefully, stay engaged, and avoid falling behind. Please go through the mini-reader as well.
I look forward to learning with you as we explore how EHRs support clinical care, workflows, reporting, and digital health transformation.
