Hi everyone, 

I'm Anselm Iwuanyanwu and I am based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. I currently work as the interoperability lead for an EHR provider here in Nigeria.

I have a clinical foundation, and am technical as well. I am a software developer (5 years now) and a final year pharmacy student at the University of Port Harcourt. I would be pursuing the Digital Health Systems track. My interest in informatics originates from my unique background after seeing so many builders try to develop healthcare solutions without the clinical context in mind. 

I know data silos is a problem, however, I see the major challenge of our current system as lack of digitization and even when digitization occurs, it happens wrongly. I recently got a new perspective that Africa can 'jump a generation' of trial and error that happened in the western world to an interoperable and connected healthcare system and I hope that this program helps me see how that is possible.

Hi. So, I believe that digital transformation in healthcare is a care problem first, and technology just happens to be part of the solution. However, many builders don't see it that way. 

They build things how they think it works without any consideration for the clinical workflows (context)...

Does that make sense?
