Hello everyone,
My name is Omolade Adebanjo, and I’m currently based in Ibadan, Nigeria. I work as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting, providing direct patient care in a hospital environment.
My professional background is primarily clinical, with hands on experience in patient management, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Through my practice, I’ve developed a strong interest in how data and technology can improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
I am particularly interested in pursuing the DHS (Digital Health Systems) track because I am passionate about leveraging technology to enhance healthcare systems, especially in resource limited settings.
My interest in health informatics stems from challenges I’ve observed in clinical practice especially issues related to poor documentation systems, fragmented patient data, and limited use of digital tools. These gaps often affect continuity of care and decision making.
One major challenge I see in my current health system is the lack of fully integrated electronic health records, which leads to inefficiencies and sometimes delays in patient care.
Through this program, I hope to gain practical skills in health data management, digital health solutions, and system implementation that will enable me to contribute to improving healthcare delivery in my environment.
I look forward to learning with you all and building meaningful connections throughout this program.
