Name and Location
My name is Olaoye Alexander, and I am based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Current Role and Organization
I currently work as an Occupational Health Nurse and a Software Engineer.

Professional Background
My professional background is primarily clinical, with experience in patient care, hospital operations, and healthcare service delivery. In addition, I have a growing interest in health data and technology, and I am currently rounding up my Master of Information Technology (MIT) program.

Preferred Track (CCD or DHS)
I am interested in pursuing the DHS (Digital Health Systems) track.

Interest in Health Informatics
My interest in health informatics stems from the need to improve healthcare delivery through better data management, digital tools, and efficient health systems. I am particularly interested in how technology can enhance decision-making, improve patient outcomes, and increase healthcare accessibility.

Challenge in Current Health System
One major challenge I observe in my current health system is the lack of integrated digital health records, which leads to inefficiencies, data loss, and delays in patient care.

Learning Goals from the Program
From this program, I hope to gain practical knowledge and skills in implementing digital health solutions, managing health data effectively, and contributing to the development of more efficient and technology-driven healthcare systems.

Hi Alexander, nice meeting you!

I see we have the same challenge in common; loss of medical health records, this has been a major challenge here.

I hope to discuss with you further on how we can tackle this major challenge

Hi Olaoye. I am attracted to your combination of core IT with occupational health nursing background. It makes for better understanding of the need for integration of IT values into the health delivery system in Nigeria. Hopefully the exposure gotten from this course will create a better platform for the application of digital tools and logic to enhance better health delivery which is sorely lacking. Nice connecting with you!
