Hello everyone! I am excited to be part of this program. My name is Oluwatomisin Oluwatoyin Abraham, and I am based in Lagos, Nigeria.
I currently work as a Research Associate and Writer with Medserve–LUTH Cancer Centre. My professional background is in Human Physiology and Public Health, which has shaped my interest in research and healthcare systems.
I am particularly interested in pursuing health informatics, with a focus on the Digital Health Systems (DHS) track. I strongly believe that just as the cell is the basic unit of life, data is the fundamental unit of research. When data systems are properly structured, they provide a solid foundation upon which all other aspects of research can align. Developing expertise in this area will not only advance my career as a researcher but also enable me to improve data collection and organization in any healthcare setting I work in.
One major challenge I observe in my current health system is the issue of missing or incomplete data. This significantly affects the quality and reliability of research, especially in retrospective studies.
Through this program, I hope to develop strong skills in data management and data analysis, which will help me contribute more effectively to improving healthcare research and outcomes.
