Hello Everyone,
My name is Aminu Bello Liman, I work as Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
After my basic medical training, I focused in the care for cancer patients ranging from diagnosis to survivorship. I intend to pursue the Clinical and Care delivery track.
I developed interest in Health Informatics during my Masters in Public Health programme. I realised that health informatics can be used to solve many problems in clinical practice and medical research in low resource settings.
During my day to day activities in the care for care patients, I noticed that apart from the delay patients face before presenting to hospital, diagnostic and treatment delays do occur in tertiary health centres. This affects the outcome of cancer care.
I am optimistic that the knowledge and skills I will learn from this course will help me to improve the evolving Electronic Health Records at ABUTH to fasten oncology care delivery.
I am really excited to be part of this Team. I look forward to learning a lot.
