Good Afternoon Everyone!
It is such an honored to be asked to participate in the teaching and training for this certificate.
My relationship with healthcare is diverse. I currently work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as an (Administrative) Research Project Associate in our GI Clinical Trials Office. My work right now focuses on clinical trials and assessing our current portfolio and making sure we have the most robust trial options for our patients. I handle all the referrals that come to our GI trials team and do preliminary assessment of pts information to crosscheck eligibility for trials.
I started working in patient care in the ambulatory care setting, as an administrator. I worked directly with many of our GI Medical Oncologists and leadership and was focused on maintaining best practices for their clinics.
I am also a patient at Memorial Sloan, as a Stage 4 breast cancer patient, I am aware of the patient experience and can empathize with some of the pain points that patients go through in navigating a health system.
I will be leaving MSK and joining Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston this summer as an Administrative Fellow. It is to help further my knowledge and experience so that I (we) can streamline information, integrate data, and truly focus on a sustainable care delivery model.
Sincerely,
Ashley Landay
